Cookie Policy

Which cookies the Beira Training platform sets, for what purpose, how long they last and how you can control them.

Last updated: August 12, 2026

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones the Beira Training platform at beiratraining.com uses, for what purpose and for how long, and what options you have to control them.

It forms part of the Platform's legal framework alongside the Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Notice and the Legal Notice. Where a cookie involves the processing of personal data, that processing is also governed by the Privacy Notice.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They allow information to be remembered between pages and between visits: for example, that you are already signed in, which language you prefer to read in, or which currency you want to see prices in.

Alongside cookies there are other browser storage technologies, such as local storage, which keep information on your device without sending it to the server with every request. This policy covers both.

3. How we use them

We use cookies for three things: keeping your session signed in securely, remembering the preferences you choose, and protecting the Platform against abuse.

We do not use advertising cookies, we do not build commercial profiles and we do not follow your browsing on other websites. Nor do we share browsing information with advertising networks.

4. Cookies we use

These are the cookies the Platform sets directly. None of them is for advertising or cross-site tracking:

NamePurposeDurationType
beira.session_tokenKeeps your session signed in and identifies your account on every request. Readable only by the server (HttpOnly).7 days, renewed while you remain active; deleted when you sign outNecessary
beira.session_dataHolds a short-lived copy of your session data to avoid querying the database on every page load.5 minutesNecessary
localeRemembers the language you chose (Spanish or English) so the site is served in it.1 yearPreference
currencyRemembers the currency you want prices displayed in. Charges are always made in Mexican pesos.1 yearPreference

Short-lived sign-in cookies

During registration, sign-in, two-factor verification or email link access, the authentication system may create additional temporary cookies prefixed with "beira.". They are short-lived, strictly necessary to complete the operation securely, and disappear once it finishes.

Local storage

  • Theme preference (light, dark or system): stored in the browser's local storage rather than a cookie, and never sent to our servers.
  • Video player preferences, such as volume or playback speed, which the player stores in your browser so they carry over to the next lesson.

5. Third-party services

Some Platform features are provided by a specialist provider. These are the cases where a third party may receive information from your browser, and what we do about it:

Traffic analytics

We measure site traffic with an aggregate analytics tool that sets no cookies and uses no persistent identifiers: it does not track the same person across websites and does not build individual profiles. That is why its use does not require prior consent.

Video playback

Course videos are served by a specialist provider that records technical playback metrics (quality, stalls, device type) to diagnose playback problems, and that may use browser storage for player preferences. Those metrics are associated with your account for the support purpose described in the Privacy Notice.

Payments

Payment is completed on the payment processor's page, which sets its own cookies on its domain (necessary to process the transaction and prevent fraud) and is governed by its own policy. Beira Training has no access to those cookies or to your full card details.

Infrastructure and protection

The hosting provider and the content delivery network may use strictly necessary cookies or technical identifiers to route your request to the correct server, serve files and contain automated attacks.

7. How to control cookies

You can block or delete cookies from your browser settings, and also configure it to warn you before a new one is set. The exact path varies by browser; you will find instructions in its help section.

Bear in mind the effect: if you block or delete necessary cookies you will not be able to stay signed in or reach your courses, and if you delete preference cookies the site will revert to the default language and currency.

Signing out of your account deletes the session cookies on that device. From your account settings you can also change the language and currency at any time, which is what these cookies remember.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove cookies, change provider, or when applicable regulation requires it. The version in force is the one published on this page, bearing the date at the top.

9. Contact

If you have questions about the use of cookies on the Platform, write to us at hola@beiratraining.com. We reply within a maximum of 10 business days.
